its been a fun summer and i’m still catching
up on july photos which had the most photos of any month i can
remember.
at the end of july had a couple bands calling
it quits and a couple bands making their debut.
"clan of the cave bear" had their
final show on july 29th at "the tower" before
many friends to see john off before he leaves for new york
city. some have compared COTCB as math rock. john has noted in
the past that all their songs are inspired by the board game
"risk". saying john is (was) one of the most entertaining drummers in cleveland would not be a risk, just a fact.
the shots of "clan of the cave bear" (and "no peace") are here.
*COTCB rebanded several months after this posting.

after work i tried to catch friends: "viva caramel" (VC will be headling a show at pat’s in the flats on may 28) and "lives of the saints" at the pirate cove. i arrived too late to see either but stayed through the "early man" and "burning bride" sets which was both a rockin good time.
halfway thru BB set they had some amp problems which prompted me to gather my stuff and head to the westside and try to catch "defiance ohio" at the tower. the tower recently closed and after a couple months they decided to start having a few show on the "down-low" meaning that it will be a word of mouth venue and will eliminate the promotion and flyers so they won’t have to close again. anyway, good luck for these are real fine people running the tower and an awesome space to see a couple rock bands..
the photos from the "defiance
ohio" set are in this gallery.
