this was all part of ‘this moment in black history’ CD release party, the ironic thing was that because of problems with my CF card i couldn’t take any photos of TMIBH. sorry.
‘fortune flesh’ is the starvations renamed and without the original drummer, it was explained that the drummer was kicked out of the band and the bassist was making his first stint as a drummer.
the photos are here.

this last full week in september was one of the better weeks in the local music scene. wednesday after the tachyon lane show at pat’s, "friends-forever" played a block down the street down by the west 3rd lift-bridge.
if you never heard of friends-forever they play out of their van (as pictured). the show ended just as a wild thunderstorm was starting, very surreal. later that night brought "lightning-bolt" to the beachland ballroom. LB are known for their wild shows and they certainly did not disappoint. playing with LB was "breaker, breaker" and "necromantic" whom both were also very sweet..
saturday night had "kill shawn’s head", "kid tested" and "the perfect guy" all neighbors/pals of sorts but that doesn’t mean they were not good. "genetically yours" played on the same bill and was a fun night. ending this week was "the starvations", "roue" and "this moment in black history" (pics here) show at pat’s sunday night. sunday night usually draws a small crowd at shows but the place was packed, deservedly so.
