national suicide day & the new lou reeds at the beachland 2007 june 5, 2007 at the beachland tavern.

NSD is a cleveland 3 piece that was making their cleveland debut. NSD is made up of members from lives of the saints, interfuse, this moment in black history, to name a few. their 35 minute set was surprisingly very tight despite it being only their third show, the gil scot heron cover [winter in america] was a nice touch..

the new lou reeds was playing with there old drummer jeff otenbacher and had a “horn section” for the first time, they shared the bill with machine go boom at the happy dog on december 26, 2005.

the CMJ-fest is over and i’m pretty much beat after seeing nearly 30 bands over 4 days with temperatures in the 90s. some of the bands that i shot were: spoon, futureheads, peelander-z, roue, the talk, new lou reeds, grafton, perfect guy, big buildings, mystery of two, home and garden, boatzz and more.

the new lou reeds, machine go boom and the san diego band: red pony clock played pats in the flats this evening under guise of lous birthday bash. the photos are in this gallery

eric videotaped a few songs of the new lou reeds and then lent me the ATI files and i edited the the finished product as well as compressed and converted to internet friendly files. the WMV files are noticeably better than the Qtime files..
