the video playlist below contains a couple videos of SOT including a rare cover of ‘hey hey my my’, half of SOT’s lineup this night will be embarking on a LA area tour next week.
i was also fortunate this evening to film the complete set [3 songs/16 minutes] by griener, raponi, delzoppo & gamiere. this was a rare show by john griener better known as ‘john g’ the guy that makes the sweet ass flyers and fronts a band that performs once every few years. i seen john earlier this evening and he was happy with the videos and gave me a thumbs up on posting the third song of that set.
the SOT lineup was:
nate scheible
matthew wascoich
john petkovic
ted flynn
i included a video of cintron/chojnicki from their very lengthy set and that is the last song in the embedded playlist..
a couple videos that i have been meaning to get to but have not, the first video is a google video because the length exceeds 10 minutes
SOT had an ‘all star’ lineup this evening with:
chris smith [keelhall]
buddy akita [this moment in black history]
& SOT regulars:
nate scheible / matthew wascovich
scarcity of tanks;
“growing 33″
“brock’s sweden (instrumental version)”
“i see you”
“caravan hooker”
i awaited the ex since their last awesome performance in cleveland september 6, 2003. after an all day outdoor concert at CWRU i rushed over to the grog only to realize my camera batteries were dead. i made up for that day this time by having fresh batteries and was not let down by my favorite band from the netherlands.
thee scarcity of tanks & aloha opened this show. because of my transportation situation i missed TSOT though i heard that they put on one of their better shows. i did catch aloha and will have those shots up when i get a chance.
the shots are here. adam harvey shot a 6 minute video of the ex this evening, that is here.
september 15, 2006 had what they call “street performance night” at spaces art. there was “urban poetry” being read on the new break-dance pad and bands that play in a lil room they call “gutter hall”, the bands were scarcity of tanks and a one man band named ha-la-la.
poets included michael salinger, mary weems, ra washington, sara holbrook, josiah quarles.
