leigh and david of little songs that made its debut earlier this night..

rafeeq opening for prefuse 73 at the grog shop.

someone asked me last night if i had my camera or am i taking a break from photography when he seen me on the riverbank w/o my camera. my reply was that i am over the stage of being uncomfortable with always having my camera at events but i do find it hard to keep up with all the photos i take. case in point: as i write this at 0338 hours on this post memorial day tuesday morning after my 10.5 hour shift at work, i have yet to even look at the shots i have taken of *prefuse 73* and rafeeq’s project that opened up for them, which i completly overlooked from nearly three weeks ago. also, i haven’t looked at any of this weekends bands that i shot: *fireworks and feedback*, *plasma for guns*, *houseguest*, *machine go boom*, *lives of the saints*, *racoo-oo-oon*, *old time relijun*, *little songs*, *the very knees*, *poor sailor*, *mother button* & *jj magazine*. four of those bands were performing their first show ever and lives of the saints had their last show.
on a side note, the girl that plays drums for old time relijun asked me if i could email her where she could checkout the shots of *mother button*. it was cool that all those folks that performed at “the church” earlier that afternoon were checking out the local bands in the wee hours of the night..

the top photo is of leigh & dave of *little songs* whom made their debut a few hours prior. the bottom shot is from rafeeq’s gig that opened for prefuse 73 from may 11th that was overlooked until this day.

post note: i inadvertently published this post as private at 4am and just noticed my error this afternoon.
