my birthday fell on sunday the 12 of august & i needed a boost so i rode my bike around the near west-side/flats and shot some pictures of old buildings, most of them being abandoned and feeling worse than i.

this was the third year for compound fest which held at a dusty parking lot off of 63rd & st. claire. the event lasted for 12 hours but i was only present for 8 hours and saw 9 bands perform.

september 2, 2006.

this was my first time at the sea-level which is located near 83rd & madison on clevelands westside. the place has a big bar downstairs with a side room that has a stage where bands can play.
upstairs also has a big bar and a sideroom with a couple pool tables. they cut the floor out and put a railing around it so one could look down at the band playing if they so wish. the bottom panorama was taken near that railing with two shots. the panorama above is of black tyger and i also used two shots.

sea-level is a nice place to see a band and have decent priced drinks, the owner is also very friendly as well as the bartenders.

the scavenger hunt took place on august 20, 2006 in lincoln park at 4pm and lasted about seven hours. more details of the hunt are in my blog entry.
