i shot some photos in some kinda funky lighting at this sold-out show, those pics are here.

the BIG SHOW was april 12, 2008 and it was the grand finale of the huge local musical experiment where you take 140+ local musicians and form bands by pulling numbers out of a hopper until you have 33 bands that get 10 weeks to rehearse and record a few songs and be prepared to perform a 10 minute set at the BIG SHOW at the beachland ballroom & tavern [3 stages, bands go on immediately after the previous band is finished]. the only rule was when forming the bands, no one musician could have previously performed with another lottery league band-mate.

i was posting many updates in the 10 weeks that the lottery league bands were practicing and have 100s of photos of those practices and also photos from the BIG SHOW where i shot 31 of the 33 bands that performed that night [a camera problem precipitated me missing one band and a mishap in the scheduling of an intermission caused me to miss the other].

this show was part of the ‘prole’ CD release show, word from stephe that this will be the last show ever..
parts & labor also have a new CD out called ‘mapmaker’ that they were promoting on their tenth trip to cleveland. SDB has a new 7″ out as well but they’ll be promoting that with an upcoming release party in august,
