mexican war streets [pittsburgh]

july 12, 2008. no, there was no mexican war fought in pittsburgh but general william robinson who would later become mayor named the area streets after places where he fought battles in the mexican war. the area has changed quite much since i bicycled the streets as a boy growing up on brighton road, and i was a lil surprised to see tour bus after bus cruising the narrow alleys on a saturday night. my photos are here. |
