this is the fourth season of playing softball at clark fields. jae started PRS back in 2004 by asking friends, many of those were folks in bands. that was sorta how punk rock softball got its name. since then we pretty much ask anyone we can trust not getting us arrested or ruining the fun.
todays match-up had the “johnson softskins” versus “the lou-zers”. after 23 innings the game remained tied 9-9.

local band ‘beaten awake’ opened & backed up daniel johnston this evening. ‘the muttering retreats’ also opened up but are not shown.

jeff deazy organized the first of the thursday rock nights at edisons in tremont. i believe it is going to happen once a month.

‘andy friedman & the other failures’ were backed-up by ‘the defibulators’ and ‘the two man gentleman’ band.

this show was booked at the last minute but all the bands performed like pros in front of just a few people. most other bands would of played a short uninspired set because of the lack of audience but tonight these bands performed full passionate sets despite having to be in new york city the next evening.
because of other obligations i was not able to catch the opening bands [two man gentleman band, defibulators] though AF&TOF had nearly all three bands on stage with them.
