this was part of clevelands city xpressionz 5th annual urban art festival.

graffiti was seperated into small & large size catagories. there was also a bboy/bgirl & MC contest which i will get to later.

this bill also included scarcity of tanks & sword heaven but i was missed that.

a mixed bag of bands on one bill, all good despite the “oven effect” of the church. neptune had a bunch of handmade instruments that sounded as awesome as they looked.

the scavenger hunt took place on august 20, 2006 in lincoln park at 4pm and lasted about seven hours. more details of the hunt are in my blog entry.

at parish hall august 5, 2006.
this was a sweet end to a long saturday, all bands sounded great in the acoustics of this sound space. thanks goes out to the parish hall folks for bringing the red krayola to town and for being such gracious hosts.

i now have most the shots up on this page.

the date for this years compound fest was august 5, 2006. the bill was made up of mostly bands that use the space as their practice site and a few other bands as well.

i had to leave at 6pm to arrange my ride for the evenings red krayola/blktygr show (those photos soon) so inevitably i missed a handful of bands (muamin, giant eagle, tall pines, homo stupids, boattz, short rabbits, friend..).

thanks goes out to the organizers including john neely that organized the bands and mr dilibarto (sp?) that was the main chef in front of the grill all day. also, much love to all the other folks (bands, sound,etc..) that provided their time and energy.

some of the bands i did catch was: roue, jerk, leroy’s frosted rocks, rainy day saints, sounder, this moment in black history, state of ohio, brandons new band & blazer.
