this march 19, 2006 show was at the inside/outside gallery. i believe this was the first show of dave-p’s band “the very knees’ since last thanksgiving show at pat’s when dave broke his leg during the performance yet continued. TVK was then named “photo booth”.

voodoo monkey tattoo is located on west 25th street on cleveland’s west-side. dave stalter is the tattoo artist featured in many of the photos in this gallery. miranda had a cat design done on her center back and her friend “reena” from germany had a small design done on her left hip.

big a little a, jerk and scarcity of tanks performed at the inside/outside gallery march 11, 2006. Aa headlined the show and incorporate four drummers in their band and we all know that a band can never have enough drummers (see liars new album).
Aa is a cool name for a band but it kinda makes looking them up in search engines pretty tough and that coupled with the fact that there is another Aa! band from japan that had a hit single..

i have to say that seeing “evolution revolution” on this night of noise / experimental bands was something i did not quite anticapate and was instantly impressed. it is was not because they were a pop band influenced on old verse and chuck berry.

i first met jason martin at the “bunny brains” show when they opened for devandra banhart at the beachland ballroom last year. a few bunny brain tour-stories of jason & wasco later, i had the chance to see jason’s art in a whole “different light” fronting ER.

unfortunatly cleveland scenesters had other things to do and the audience was only about 20 strong but when ER finished they must of sold to at least of 80% of them their latest CD along with a awesome story book. i know how hard it is to get cashed-strapped clevelander’s to open up their wallets and that was no small feat.

uncomfortable pricks, falling rock and myra gale all put on solid set’s this night as well but was overshadowed after evolution revolution performed.

march 7, 2006 mi & lau and blk tygr performed at the beachland tavern. there was a large contrast between the two bands but it worked none the less.

steve mastroianni is a cleveland photographer that had a art opening at brandt gallery in tremont on saturday march 4, 2006. the show was titled ” . . . .I would break into blossom” and featured wedding photography of amanda and dan’s wedding last summer.
