the fatal flying guillotines & this moment
in black history performed the beachland tavern this evening.
TFFG asked me for a few of the photos of their set for a
possible use in the "houston press" i’m not sure if
that pub will use them but the magazine "razorcake"
has used a few of my older "this moment in black
history" shots for their current (september 2005)
magazine which is available at fine music & book stores
such as "viva libre books & music" on west 14th
in tremont.

corsano & flaherty performed one of the
best shows i’ve seen in a long time at pat’s in the flats on
this night. for me to describe the show would not do it any
justice. bill_w did a fine job and the "review" is
on his blog, i don’t have the URL handy but is linked at a
post in my blog (september
18).

the benefit for the "fair trade artzine" was this night at the inside/outside art gallery in tremont and was also the opening of "viva libre books & music" which is located inside the inside/outside.

the music consisted of "du/els" which was various performers "jamming" with others and turned out pretty well considering it was all improvised. cleveland bands: “jj magazine”, “new lou reeds” and “a real knife head” also performed.

the 24th annual "studio a rama" at
case western university was held this saturday and feaured
bands: self destruct button, avatars, 20 go to 10, chrome
kickers, and others.

later that night at pat’s in the flats had a
sweet show featuring: plastic crimewave sound, terminal
lovers, clouds forming crowns and tijuana hercules.

brandt gallery is the oldest art gallery in tremont and jean brandt had a big part of starting the tremont art-walk. information on upcoming exhibitions as well as info of previous art-shows are found at brandtgallery.org.

september 3, 2005 @ pat’s in the flats.

pat’s in the flats 60th year anniversary bash went off without a problem. all bands were splendid and marty & vic’s BBQ was delicious.

a big congratulations goes out to pat and heres hoping that she has another 60 years!

also thanks to all the bands and phil for the sound equipment and working the board as well as helping build the stage.
